Adult Cardiac Data Abstractor

Job Summary

To support registry operations, the part-time Adult Cardiac Data Abstractor will be responsible for remote data abstraction, adhering to project guidelines, and meeting productivity and quality standards for assigned projects.

Key responsibilities

• Follows project parameters and utilizes industry-related manuals for accurate data abstraction
• Stays updated on abstraction requirements and collaborates with management for clarifications
• Meets defined quality and productivity standards within specified timeframes for each project assignment

Required qualifications

• Two or more years of current abstraction experience in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Adult Cardiac Surgery Database Registry
• Proficient in clinical registry data abstraction specifications and electronic medical record applications
• Strong ability to work independently and manage committed work hours effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google products
• Preferred qualifications include RN, RHIA/RHIT, or CPHQ certification
