Job Summary
To support a growing advocacy initiative, the part-time Advocacy Consultant will develop and execute a comprehensive federal and state policy agenda, strengthen advocacy infrastructure, and provide strategic support leading up to the 2027 Advocacy Summit, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct a landscape analysis of federal legislation and develop a comprehensive federal policy agenda aligned with WomenHeart's mission
- Support the development of a state advocacy strategy and mobilize WomenHeart's Champion network for state-level engagement
- Assess current advocacy infrastructure and recommend improvements, while providing ongoing strategic advisory support to WomenHeart leadership
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience in advocacy or public policy at the federal and state levels
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships with policymakers
- Experience in developing advocacy tools and training materials
- Strong understanding of women's health issues, particularly cardiovascular health
