AFC Certified Financial Counselor

Job Summary

Providing personal and family financial readiness counseling, the full-time remote AFC Certified Financial Counselor will assist military service members and their families in developing strategies to achieve financial goals and maintain financial readiness through virtual sessions and tailored education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions through secure telephonic and audio/video communication platforms
• Provide unbiased financial information and assist participants in developing skills to meet financial goals
• Manage participant caseloads and documentation while maintaining compliance with program standards

Required Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
• Three years of experience in financial counseling or related education services
• Active certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
• Strong understanding of the military community and its unique financial needs
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Tier II clearance
