AFC Certified Financial Counselor

Job Summary

To support the military community, the full-time remote AFC Certified Financial Counselor will provide personal and family financial readiness counseling, offering proactive education and strategies to help service members and their families achieve financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions through secure telephonic and audio/video communication platforms
• Provide unbiased financial information and assist participants in developing skills to meet financial goals
• Manage participant caseloads and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with program standards

Required Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
• Three years of experience in financial counseling or related education services
• Active certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
• Strong understanding of the military community's unique needs and challenges
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Tier II clearance
