AFC Certified Personal Financial Counselor

Job Summary

Providing financial readiness counseling and education, the full-time salaried AFC Certified Personal Financial Counselor will conduct virtual sessions to assist military service members and their families in achieving financial goals while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions through secure telephonic and audio/video communication platforms
• Provide unbiased financial information and develop tailored strategies to help clients achieve financial readiness
• Manage participant caseloads and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with program standards

Required Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
• Three years of experience in financial counseling or related education services
• Active certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
• Strong understanding of the military community's unique financial needs and challenges
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Tier II clearance
