Affiliated Board Member

Job Summary

To support ethical oversight in clinical research, the part-time Affiliated Board Member will conduct regulatory and ethical reviews of research study materials submitted to the IRB, participate in Board meetings, and communicate with stakeholders while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews of research submissions for compliance with regulations and ethical standards
• Evaluate submissions and identify any regulatory or ethical concerns requiring clarification
• Maintain accurate documentation of review activities and participate in IRB training and quality improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• At least two years of experience in IRB administration, clinical research, or a related role
• Direct experience with IRB reviews, including expedited and convened Board reviews, is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of applicable research regulations governing human subjects protection
• Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degrees or relevant clinical/research credentials are strongly preferred
• Completion of required research training, including Good Clinical Practice and Human Subjects Protection certification
