Job Summary

Serving as the primary after-hours contact for patients and referral sources, the full-time After Hours Patient Service Representative will deliver empathetic customer service, triage inquiries, manage emergencies, and ensure operational support between patients and clinical teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide empathetic phone and email assistance, resolving complex inquiries and scheduling appointments
  • Follow established protocols for emergencies, instructing patients on immediate care and escalating urgent needs
  • Verify insurance benefits, process prior authorizations, manage prescription refills, and maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting or call center
  • At least 3 years of experience in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) healthcare required
  • Previous experience in healthcare, insurance, medical billing, or patient services preferred
  • Bilingual capabilities are a plus
