Agile Developer

Job Summary

To support a major modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote Agile Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and maintain enterprise applications for VA healthcare modernization initiatives
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes
• Develop scalable APIs and microservices while ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity and accessibility requirements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of software development experience in Agile environments
• Experience with modern programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks, version control systems like Git, and application integration technologies
• Understanding of secure coding standards and federal cybersecurity requirements
