Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Agricultural Policy Director, this full-time remote position will lead U.S. policy strategy and execution focused on livestock enteric methane mitigation and agricultural nitrogen transformation, involving original policy development and active coalition engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the U.S. federal policy strategy for the Enteric and Nitrogen programs, aligning with program strategies
- Develop multi-year policy plans that adapt to the evolving U.S. agricultural policy landscape
- Draft policy proposals and engage with federal agencies and Congressional offices on relevant legislation and rulemaking
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in agricultural policy or related fields; or Master's degree with 8+ years of experience
- Proven track record in developing and advancing federal agricultural policy
- Strong existing network in agricultural policy, including connections with USDA, EPA, and trade associations
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft legislative language and technical policy documents
- Strategic judgment regarding engagement and collaboration across diverse program teams
