Agricultural Statistics Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Agricultural Statistical Systems Expert.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid analysis of Libya's National Agriculture Statistics System (NASS) and assess data quality
• Identify capacity-building needs and conduct a survey among data users to prioritize data requirements
• Prepare an Action Plan and concept note for an agricultural census, including organizing training sessions and a stakeholder workshop

Required Qualifications

• Advanced University Degree in Statistics or a related discipline
• Ten years of relevant experience in statistical systems and agricultural statistics
• Working knowledge of English and Arabic (level C)
• Advanced knowledge of the World Programme for the Census of Agriculture
• Experience in capacity building for developing country governments on agricultural statistics
