AI and Data Assimilation Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an AI and Data Assimilation Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, testing, and evaluation of an AI-based Real-Time Mesoscale Analysis (AI-RTMA) system
• Conduct a comprehensive review of AI-based data assimilation methodologies and communicate findings to inform system development
• Design and maintain data pipelines for AI-RTMA training, validation, testing, and evaluation

Required Qualifications

• Experience developing, training, and deploying AI-based systems applied to geophysical systems
• Proficiency with AI frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
• In-depth knowledge of data assimilation techniques and geophysical modeling
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with High Performance Computers (HPCs)
• Experience working in a UNIX environment with advanced scripting languages
