AI Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Combining strong backend engineering fundamentals with modern machine learning expertise, the full-time AI Backend Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and production-ready AI applications in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Node, and .NET
• Develop production-ready AI applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver features from concept through production

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering with strong commercial experience in backend applications using Python and Node
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning or LLM-powered applications
• Proficient in building REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend services
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Experience using Git and modern software development practices
