AI Cluster Architect

Job Summary

Creating and refining large-scale GPU cluster architectures, the full-time remote AI Cluster Architect will optimize designs within strict power limits while ensuring high GPU density and performance across various networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect large-scale GPU clusters within fixed site power budgets to maximize GPU density while accommodating necessary compute services, storage, and networking
• Model and validate power consumption across the full cluster bill of materials, including GPUs, CPUs, NICs, switches, and storage
• Evaluate tradeoffs across multiple fabric networking architectures and determine network scale limits based on switch radix and topology

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years designing or building large-scale HPC, AI, or hyperscale GPU clusters
• Expert understanding of GPU and accelerator system design, including node topology and PCIe/NVLink/NVSwitch/ROCm
• Strong familiarity with InfiniBand, RoCE, and SpectrumX networking architectures
• Demonstrated experience modeling power draw and thermal characteristics of servers and networking components
• Proven ability to gather and analyze vendor SKU-level specifications for scalable cluster architectures
