AI Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an AI Data Engineer to own systems that transform unstructured content into structured, queryable data.

Key Responsibilities

• Build automated content discovery pipelines for grant-related content from the web
• Implement LLM extraction pipelines to convert unstructured text into canonical business objects
• Design and maintain semantic chunking and embeddings for optimized retrieval and search features

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years with modern LLMs
• Proven experience in taking LLM/RAG systems from prototype to production
• Hands-on experience with embedding model selection and vector databases
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node; familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus
• Comfortable with SQL and building/maintaining data pipelines
