AI Data Ingestion Engineer
Job Summary
To support the onboarding of government financial datasets into a modern data platform, the contract AI Data Ingestion Engineer will develop Python-based ingestion pipelines using FastAPI and PostgreSQL while leveraging AI-assisted development tools in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and validate Python-based ingestion pipelines for various government financial datasets
- Utilize Claude Code and pre-defined Skills templates to build, refine, and test ingestion scripts
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure high-quality, maintainable code and adherence to project deliverables
Required qualifications
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience with Claude Code or AI-assisted software development tools
- Proficiency in building applications and APIs using FastAPI
- Strong PostgreSQL experience
- Experience with ingesting and transforming structured data formats into relational databases
