Job Summary

Focusing on the incremental remediation and modernization of a legacy Java monolithic application, the full-time Agentic AI Developer for Java Modernization will deliver tailored solutions for federal clients while ensuring system stability and compliance in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead targeted modernization of legacy components to enhance security, maintainability, and compliance without disrupting user workflows
• Perform code refactoring and dependency updates while maintaining functional parity and develop comprehensive testing suites
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and conduct performance testing to ensure compliance with federal standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience, particularly in modernizing legacy applications
• Strong proficiency with Spring Framework, Hibernate ORM, and related enterprise Java technologies
• Experience in code refactoring, framework upgrades, and maintaining automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools for code modernization
