AI Engineer

Job Summary

To support a leading healthcare organization, the contract AI/ML Engineer will design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems that enhance patient care and operational workflows, working remotely within the USA.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic AI systems, including LLM integrations and orchestration patterns
• Build and maintain production Python services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Deploy and optimize AI/ML solutions in cloud environments while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ML engineering, or AI engineering
• Strong Python experience in production environments
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM agent systems and at least one agent framework
• Practical experience with RAG architectures and vector databases
• Master's degree in a relevant field with 1+ year experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
