AI Engineer

Job Summary

To support the AI agents team, the full-time AI Engineer will design, build, and own systems for Voice AI and Text AI agents, ensuring seamless customer interactions while working remotely in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement systems for handling voice calls, SMS, and email conversations across customer touchpoints
• Develop tool-calling integrations to enable agents to perform reliable actions like booking appointments and transferring to human agents
• Mentor junior engineers and apply industry-standard engineering practices throughout the development process

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production, including prompt engineering and agent orchestration
• Proficient in backend development using Elixir, Go, Python, or similar server-side languages
• Experience leading projects from specification to launch in a collaborative environment
• Ability to work across the stack, including data models, LLM logic, APIs, and UI as needed
• Strong ownership mindset with a proactive approach to solving ambiguous problems
