AI Engineer

Job Summary

Building full-stack components for Innovation Crew pilots, the full-time AI Engineer will develop backend services, API integrations, and frontend implementations while collaborating closely with the AI Experience Engineer in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build full-stack features and components for Innovation Crew pilots, ensuring clean and well-documented code for handoff to maintaining teams
• Integrate builds with JD Power's core data infrastructure, confirming data access and connection patterns before development
• Contribute to the Power Agents library by implementing new agent patterns and ensuring modules are auditable, testable, and reusable

Required qualifications

• Full-stack engineering fundamentals across backend (REST APIs, cloud-native service patterns) and frontend development
• Demonstrable curiosity about AI systems, with experience building applications using LLM APIs
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code and a fast-learning orientation to absorb direction and contribute meaningfully
• Familiarity with Python and/or TypeScript, and experience with agent frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph
• Understanding of observability basics, including the difference between traces and logs
