AI Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the design and implementation of AI systems, the full-time AI Engineer will build production retrieval systems and self-service AI tooling while working remotely and collaborating with senior data engineers and data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AI systems, including retrieval and agentic workflows
• Build and maintain production retrieval systems with a focus on data quality and trustworthiness
• Establish a self-service AI and analytics layer for over 200 internal stakeholders, ensuring governance and access controls are integrated

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience in data and software systems
• 2+ years of experience shipping production LLM/AI systems
• Strong foundation in data engineering or applied data science with expertise in Python, SQL, and cloud data warehousing
• Experience in cloud engineering, particularly with AWS and containerized services
• Demonstrated ability to design systems end to end, managing architecture and trade-offs independently
