Job Summary
To support an external software development organization, the remote Applied AI Engineer will build and operate AI capabilities across an enterprise platform, focusing on production-quality systems and collaborating with product and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Building and operating AI capabilities, including agent runtimes, model routing, and evaluation frameworks
- Shipping AI solutions that are reliable, measurable, and safe for production use
- Monitoring production AI behavior and implementing improvements based on data-driven insights
Required qualifications
- Experience shipping software backed by LLMs, ML models, or agentic workflows to production users
- Strong understanding of AI workflow patterns, including RAG and context management
- Experience building evaluation harnesses and measurable AI performance frameworks
- Ability to prioritize cost, latency, reliability, and safety as engineering constraints
- Strong software engineering skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
