Job Summary
To support the VA Cybersecurity Operations Systems Engineering project, the full-time remote AI Engineer will design, develop, implement, and maintain AI and machine learning solutions while collaborating with cybersecurity engineers and stakeholders to ensure secure and reliable capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, train, test, and deploy AI and machine learning models for enterprise-scale applications
- Collect, clean, and prepare data for AI/ML model development and evaluation, ensuring compliance with security and privacy requirements
- Evaluate and recommend AI technologies and frameworks suitable for complex Federal Government cybersecurity use cases
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT security, data science, or software engineering, with at least 5 years in AI or machine learning systems
- Expertise in building, training, and deploying machine learning models in a production environment
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and software developers
- Proficiency in data collection, cleaning, and analysis techniques for AI modeling
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI solutions to real-world problems in large enterprises or Government agencies
