AI Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Leading a small team of engineers, the full-time remote AI Engineering Lead will drive AI strategy, re-engineer workflows, and build internal systems to enhance operational efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with executive leaders to identify and prioritize AI use cases that improve operational leverage
• Design and implement high-impact internal workflows and multi-agent systems while maintaining hands-on involvement in coding and deployment
• Establish governance standards for AI tools and processes, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, applied AI, or technical product roles with hands-on experience in production environments
• Proven expertise in designing and deploying multi-agent systems, RAG pipelines, and API integrations in a HIPAA-regulated context
• Strong operational judgment with a track record of successful workflow automation and process re-engineering
• Experience leading teams and driving adoption of technology within non-technical functions
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and executive stakeholders
