AI Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, the full-time remote AI Engineering Manager will drive the development of AI-powered tools to combat crime, overseeing initiatives from concept to production while maintaining high standards for quality and collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a pod of frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers, ensuring high craftsmanship and ownership
• Oversee the execution of AI product initiatives from problem identification to launch and iteration
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams on roadmap planning and prioritization to enhance user workflows

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2-5+ years in people management of multidisciplinary product teams
• Strong background in product engineering, particularly in building workflow-heavy or data-rich applications
• Experience with AI/LLM-powered features in production systems, understanding the complexities of shipping AI products
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces and quickly turn ideas into shipped products
• Technical expertise to guide architecture and review code across frontend, backend, and AI-integrated systems
