AI FinOps Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote AI FinOps Engineer, this role will manage token economics and cost optimization for the Enterprise AI program, focusing on driving efficiency across AI platforms while working at the API level to identify and engineer solutions that reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

• Track, model, and optimize token costs across Enterprise AI platforms, including prompt efficiency and caching strategies
• Develop and document token optimization best practices, partnering with the AI enablement team for organization-wide guidance
• Build and maintain dashboards to report usage trends, cost anomalies, and efficiency metrics for IT leadership

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, or equivalent) focusing on optimization
• Deep familiarity with LLM pricing mechanics, including context windows and caching strategies
• Experience with prompt engineering techniques aimed at efficiency and cost reduction
• Proficiency in Python or SQL for instrumentation and pipeline work
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
