AI Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and technically proficient, the remote contract AI Forward Deployed Engineer will work in an Agile environment to drive solutions from problem definition to production deployment, leveraging strong consulting skills to translate business challenges into scalable, production-ready technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver complete features end-to-end across frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure while rapidly producing working solutions
• Design and optimize generative AI systems, ensuring relevance and latency while evaluating system quality through custom frameworks
• Facilitate collaboration within the team, effectively communicating complex topics and translating between technical and business languages

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong production experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, particularly with modern frameworks like Next.js
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• Demonstrable fluency with AI coding tools and experience building production generative AI applications
• Experience navigating ambiguous problem spaces and working directly with business stakeholders to deliver solutions rapidly
