AI Governance Director

Job Summary

Seeking a collaborative and technically credible Head of AI Governance, the full-time remote position will lead the strategic oversight of AI governance programs, ensuring responsible use of AI technologies across the organization while interfacing with various functional teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and improvement of a comprehensive AI Governance Framework aligned with regulatory obligations
• Maintain an AI use case registry and provide expertise in evaluating AI tools and applications
• Serve as program lead for the AI Governance Council, coordinating agendas and decision-ready materials for review

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management, or related discipline, with equivalent experience
• 15-20 years in information security, technology risk management, or compliance, including 5-8 years in AI/ML governance
• Demonstrated experience in designing or operating AI governance programs and understanding of the AI risk landscape
• Working knowledge of global AI and privacy regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act and GDPR
• Strong project management skills with a track record of building programs and processes from the ground up
