AI Governance Director

Job Summary

Providing enterprise-wide oversight, the full-time salaried AI Governance Director will develop and manage AI governance standards, ensure compliance across business units, and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and recommend AI governance standards and compliance reporting mechanisms to ensure responsible use and regulatory readiness
• Maintain and update AI governance policies and documentation to adapt to evolving technologies and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate executive reporting on AI governance and manage inquiries from clients, regulators, and third parties

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Law, Public Policy, Risk Management, or a related field
• 10+ years of leadership experience in technology governance, risk management, compliance, or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI, data governance, regulatory compliance, or audit readiness
• Demonstrated experience coordinating across business, legal, compliance, and technical teams
• Preferred certifications in AI governance or related fields, such as IAPP or ISACA certifications
