AI/ML Document Processing Developer

Job Summary

To enhance data processing capabilities, the remote AI/ML Document Processing Developer will build and operate backend services and batch pipelines for classifying and extracting data from high-volume document sets using AWS Bedrock.

Key responsibilities

• Build AI unstructured data document scanning pipelines and process various healthcare provider and health insurance data files
• Extract key data elements for business logic and data validation, converting unstructured results into structured business data
• Manage the end-to-end pipeline, including S3 ingestion, multi-format parsing, and OCR fallback

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing RESTful services and event-driven backends in AWS
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock or comparable LLM platforms, including prompt engineering and model selection
• Strong proficiency in Python, particularly for concurrent processing in high-throughput batch workloads
• Experience with document and text processing using tools like Textract and Tesseract
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres and DynamoDB
