AI/ML Engineer

Job Summary

To push the frontier of applied AI in healthcare, the remote Member of Technical Staff (AI/ML Engineer) will design, build, and deploy machine learning and LLM systems that enhance clinician and patient interactions, while taking ownership of problems from scoping to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, train, evaluate, and improve advanced machine learning and LLM systems for patient and provider-facing products
• Own end-to-end problem-solving by collaborating with clinicians and product partners, building datasets, and shipping to production
• Develop robust evaluation frameworks to ensure models are safe, accurate, and continuously improving

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning systems, including generative AI (LLMs)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with proficiency in Python or a comparable language
• Practical understanding of modern LLM techniques and their trade-offs
• Comfort working with messy, real-world data and designing effective evaluations
• A bias toward action and ownership, with a commitment to improving health outcomes for patients
