AI/ML Engineer III

Job Summary

Leading the design and deployment of advanced AI/ML technologies, the contract AI/ML Engineer III will develop innovative solutions for aerospace and defense, focusing on autonomy, computer vision, and advanced analytics while mentoring engineers and prototyping rapidly.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning technologies for aerospace and defense applications
• Mentor engineers and lead the technical direction of AI/ML projects
• Rapidly prototype innovative AI solutions and support scalable training pipelines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, AI, or related STEM field (Master's preferred)
• 6+ years of AI/ML experience (9+ years in lieu of degree)
• Strong experience with Python and AI frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
• Expertise in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision
• Experience building and deploying production AI/ML solutions and scalable training pipelines
