AI/ML Research Engineer

Job Summary

To support the advancement of AI technologies, the remote AI/ML Research Engineer in LLM Post-Training & Evaluation will design and implement robust training and evaluation pipelines for large language models, collaborating closely with data scientists and technical stakeholders to enhance model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve LLM training and post-training pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, and evaluation
• Implement and optimize evaluation systems for LLMs and multimodal models, integrating human-in-the-loop and AI-augmented methods
• Lead technically complex ML engineering projects from initial discussions through implementation and delivery

Required qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (MS/PhD preferred)
• 2-3 years of relevant industry or research engineering experience in ML/AI systems
• Hands-on experience with LLM training, fine-tuning, and post-training workflows
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow)
• Experience designing and implementing evaluation pipelines for LLM/ML systems
