AI/ML Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a remote out-of-region team, the contract AI/ML Software Engineer will design and deploy advanced AI systems for healthcare applications, focusing on developing agent-based AI systems, constructing Python services, and establishing evaluation frameworks.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement agent-based AI systems, including large language model integrations and prompt engineering
• Construct and maintain Python services, automation workflows, and data pipelines utilizing retrieval-augmented generation and vector databases
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI/ML solutions in cloud environments, ensuring performance and security

Required qualifications:

• Over 7 years of experience in software and machine learning engineering, with recent involvement in AI and large language models
• Advanced proficiency in Python, including experience with APIs and asynchronous programming
• Experience designing and implementing autonomous AI agents, particularly tool-using or orchestrator-based systems
• Practical knowledge of agent frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP, and experience with CI/CD pipelines
