AI-Native Quality Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a quality engineering organization, the remote contract-to-hire AI-Native Quality Engineering Manager will drive the transition to AI-assisted testing and modern automation practices while improving release confidence and quality metrics.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers, Automation Engineers, and Testers with a hands-on, player-coach approach
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted testing practices and establish standards for effective AI usage in quality engineering
- Define and track quality metrics to guide continuous improvement in automated testing frameworks across various coverage areas
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in QA, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation with strong hands-on automation expertise
- 2+ years of people leadership experience managing larger QA organizations (ideally 15+ team members)
- Experience with modern test strategies across API, UI, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Strong understanding of Agile, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices
- Experience using AI tools to improve testing outcomes and coaching teams on effective AI usage
