AI Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an AI Platform Engineer to build and manage AI tooling and infrastructure from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the rollout and management of AI-assisted development tools and establish governance frameworks
• Partner with teams to develop internal AI applications and define operational boundaries
• Manage AI/ML infrastructure on GCP and implement cost management strategies

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML infrastructure like Vertex AI or comparable platforms
• Experience setting up AI developer tooling at an organizational level
• Fluency in Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly with Terraform
• Ability to define new capability areas without established patterns
• Experience communicating AI investment value and risks to leadership
