AI Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of secure and scalable AI solutions, the contract AI Platform Engineer will work remotely, collaborating with platform architects to build AI architectures, implement governance, and provide support to development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and configure AI platforms by translating architectures into scalable cloud solutions using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
• Enable governance and guardrails by implementing policy-as-code and compliance requirements for AI workloads
• Support developers by creating templates and self-service tools to facilitate the rapid and safe development of AI solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of cloud/platform engineering experience, including 2+ years with Azure (or similar)
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security practices
• Working knowledge of AI/ML services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, vector databases, model APIs)
• Experience supporting regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, PCI)
