AI Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of AI solutions in a secure cloud environment, the contract AI Platform Engineer will work remotely to build scalable AI architectures, implement governance and compliance measures, and provide support for development teams in a regulated healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Build and configure AI platforms by translating architectures into scalable cloud solutions using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
• Enable governance and guardrails by implementing policy-as-code, security controls, and compliance requirements for AI workloads
• Support developers by creating templates and self-service tools, while providing documentation and hands-on assistance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of cloud/platform engineering experience, including 2+ years with Azure (or similar)
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security practices
• Working knowledge of AI/ML services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, vector databases, model APIs)
• Experience supporting regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, PCI)
