AI Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled AI Platform Engineer on a contract basis to design and build AI-driven development systems for enterprise teams, this hybrid role based in Chicago will manage the implementation of structured agent frameworks and develop scalable systems that integrate AI into development workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement structured agent harnesses and orchestration frameworks for AI coding agents
• Develop architectural constraints and guardrails, including dependency rules and validation tests
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI-driven workflows into CI/CD pipelines

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering fundamentals and CI/CD pipelines
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with AI coding agents in real-world development
• 1+ year of experience with agent orchestration or tool-use patterns
