AI Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To support the engineering organization, the full-time remote AI Platform Engineer will design, implement, and maintain a private AI platform, focusing on automating engineering operations and enhancing productivity through AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Own the configuration and infrastructure of the AI platform, ensuring it meets the specific needs of engineers working on low-level systems
• Design and implement a workforce of autonomous agents to automate engineering operations, identifying high-value opportunities for automation
• Maintain platform reliability, manage deployments, and improve infrastructure while tracking costs and value delivered by the AI tools

Required qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience building software in Python or a comparable programming language, with familiarity in software development fundamentals
• Practical experience developing or troubleshooting software in a Linux environment
• Hands-on experience in AI agent development or implementing workflows that utilize AI tools effectively
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows that integrate AI outputs with authoritative information sources
