Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled AI Platform Engineer (Agentic Systems) for a hybrid contractor role based in Chicago, IL or Philadelphia, PA, who will design and build AI-driven development systems, enabling AI coding agents to function effectively within complex codebases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement structured agent harnesses and orchestration frameworks for AI coding agents
- Develop and enforce architectural constraints, including dependency rules and structural validation tests
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI-driven development workflows into CI/CD pipelines
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering fundamentals, including architecture and CI/CD pipelines
- 1+ year of hands-on experience working with AI coding agents in real-world development environments
- 1+ year of experience with agent orchestration or tool-use patterns
