AI Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Building AI infrastructure from the ground up, the full-time remote AI Platform Infrastructure Engineer will define architectural standards, establish governance frameworks, and manage AI developer tooling and internal workflows while ensuring compliance and cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Own the rollout and operational management of AI-assisted development tools across engineering
• Partner with teams to build and support internal AI applications and define operational boundaries
• Advise on data governance policies and ensure AI infrastructure meets compliance standards

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML infrastructure such as Vertex AI or comparable platforms
• Experience setting up AI developer tooling at an organizational level
• Fluency in Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly with Terraform
• Ability to work across teams to define new capability areas
• Clear communication skills regarding cost, risk, and value of AI investments
