AI Policy Specialist

Job Summary

As an AI Policy Specialist on the Violence & Fiction team, the full-time remote position will evaluate user requests and AI model responses regarding violence, ensuring appropriate categorization while balancing policy intent and context.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate user requests and AI responses involving violence and distinguish between fictional and real-world intent
• Write concise rationales for classifications and identify policy gaps or emerging edge cases
• Participate in calibration discussions and maintain consistency in applying customer policy standards

Required qualifications

• Experience with violent fiction as a writer, game designer, or editor
• Real-world exposure to violence through military, law enforcement, or emergency medicine roles
• Background in crisis intervention, threat assessment, or content moderation
• Strong reasoning skills with the ability to articulate judgment calls clearly
• Comfortable engaging with graphic material related to violence and distress
