AI Principal Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on AI Principal Engineer for a contracted to full-time remote position, this role will design and implement AI-powered features, build intelligent agents, and drive technical architecture decisions while collaborating closely with the CEO and VP of Product.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement key AI-powered features from architecture to production
• Build and evolve intelligent agents using modern LLM frameworks and ensure high code quality
• Define and track success metrics related to model performance and user satisfaction

Required qualifications

• Deep experience building AI/ML systems, particularly with LLMs in production
• Hands-on experience with modern AI tooling, including prompt engineering and vector databases
• Strong product instincts with a focus on solving real user problems
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred
• Availability for a 6-day workweek with consistent overlap in the US timezone
