AI Principal Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on AI Principal Engineer for a remote, contracted-to-full-time position who will design and implement AI-powered features, build intelligent agents, and drive technical architecture decisions while collaborating closely with leadership on critical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement key AI-powered features from architecture to production
• Build and evolve intelligent agents using modern LLM frameworks and ensure high code quality
• Define and track success metrics related to model performance and user satisfaction

Required qualifications

• Deep experience building AI/ML systems, particularly with LLMs in production
• Hands-on experience with modern AI tooling, including prompt engineering and vector databases
• Strong product instincts and a focus on solving real user problems
• Clear communication skills, comfortable leading technical discussions
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus
