AI Principal Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on AI Principal Engineer for a contracted to full-time remote position, who will design and implement key AI-powered features, build intelligent agents, and drive technical architecture decisions while collaborating closely with the CEO and VP of Product.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered features from architecture to production
• Build and evolve intelligent agents using modern LLM frameworks
• Drive technical architecture decisions and ensure high code quality and reliability

Required qualifications

• Deep experience building AI/ML systems, particularly with LLMs in production
• Hands-on experience with modern AI tooling such as prompt engineering and vector databases
• Strong product instincts and problem-solving skills focused on user needs
• Clear communicator with experience leading technical discussions
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus
