AI Product Engineer

Job Summary

To build a new AI-native product, the remote AI Product Engineer will own end-to-end feature development, integrating AI coding tools and ensuring high-quality user experiences across both frontend and backend systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement student-facing product interfaces and real-time AI features
• Develop API routes and backend services for data integration and AI orchestration
• Manage deployment infrastructure, data architecture, and end-to-end feature ownership from spec to production

Required qualifications

• Proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) as part of the development workflow
• Experience shipping full-stack products with accountability for user functionality
• Comfortable with React/Next.js/TypeScript on the frontend and Node.js or Python on the backend
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI-powered features in production
• Strong product instincts and ability to improve user experience proactively
