AI Program Manager
Job Summary
Leading a diverse portfolio of IT projects, the full-time remote AI Program Manager will provide technical program leadership for the Veterans Health Administration's National Artificial Intelligence Institute, develop operational models for AI adoption, and report on program outcomes to senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical program leadership across multiple workstreams, aligning AI inventory, risk management, and field operations delivery
- Develop the AI center of excellence operational playbook, including staffing models and standard operating procedures
- Design and lead assessments of pilot outcomes and program implementation while managing the program to cost, schedule, and performance
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of program management experience across diverse IT projects, with at least 10 years in healthcare and 5 years in AI or emerging technologies
- Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Data Science, Informatics, Business, or a related field
- Experience with the full systems development life cycle and strategic information planning
- Familiarity with SAFe's Lean Agile principles and practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated Tier 1 / National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
