AI Research Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking talented researchers and engineers, the full-time Senior/Staff AI Research Engineer will build state-of-the-art speech-language models and audio systems, focusing on distributed model training, inference, and data analysis, with options for NYC, San Jose, or remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software systems for distributed model training, inference, and benchmarking
• Conduct massive-scale data collection, storage, preprocessing, and analysis
• Address complex AI research problems at an industry scale

Required qualifications

• Expertise in the Python ecosystem and popular ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch)
• Experience writing robust and maintainable production-ready code
• Ability to iterate quickly on new and uncertain research directions
• 2+ years of experience training and/or fine-tuning transformer models with large-scale datasets
