Job Summary
Motivated by ensuring AI safety and societal benefit, the full-time AI Safety Fellow will engage in empirical research projects using external infrastructure, benefiting from mentorship and community connections while producing public outputs such as research papers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct empirical research aligned with AI safety priorities and produce public outputs
- Collaborate with mentors and peers in a shared workspace to enhance research quality
- Utilize external tools and models to explore and address AI safety challenges
Required qualifications
- Fluency in Python programming
- A strong technical background in computer science, mathematics, or physics
- Availability for full-time commitment during the 4-month program
- Experience with empirical ML research projects
- Motivation to reduce risks associated with advanced AI systems
