AI Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time remote opportunity, the AI Security Engineer (GRC) will evaluate AI vendors and technologies, enforce secure AI implementation standards, and provide guidance to development teams within a HIPAA-regulated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structured security assessments of AI vendors and platforms prior to adoption
• Serve as an embedded security advisor for development teams adopting AI tooling
• Maintain the organization's AI Risk Register and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in information security, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML security
• Hands-on experience with AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or Claude APIs
• Experience in a HIPAA-regulated environment, preferably within the healthcare industry
• Strong understanding of LLM attack surfaces and AI risk management frameworks
